Senior Accountant

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including accrual-basis accounting
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Netsuite and BlackLine (or similar platforms)
- Excellent Excel skills and effective communication abilities
- Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Knowledge of SOX internal controls and audit support procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
- Public company accounting experience
- Industry experience in biotech or life sciences
- Progress toward or active CPA certification
- Familiarity with SAP or Oracle ERP systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally including exposure to public companies and biotech sectors
Other Requirements:
- Location: Hybrid role based in San Carlos, CA (minimum of 3 days on-site weekly)
- This role is initially for a 3+ month contract with potential for extension based on business needs
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, evolving environments and work independently or collaboratively as needed
