Senior Accountant (Part Time Remote)

Required Skills:
- Extensive experience with general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close procedures
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data
- Hands-on payroll experience, including timecard reconciliation, payroll report review, and payroll journal entry preparation
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively in a deadline-driven setting
- Excellent verbal, written, and Slack communication skills for proactive updates and issue escalation
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive payroll, revenue, and financial data
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with PEO or EOR payroll arrangements, including U.S. and international payroll
- Previous collaboration with organizations like DeWinter or similar
- Knowledge of manual accounting processes and discrepancy research
- Experience coordinating with People teams and external payroll providers
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Prior professional experience as a senior or lead accountant, ideally with a proven track record of managing accounting tasks independently

- Availability to start in September with ongoing engagement
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Commitment to approximately 10 to 12 hours per week, flexible within this range
