About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in FinTech is looking for a skilled  Senior AWS Network Specialist  to join their team for a 12 months (likely with extension) engagement. This project involves designing, implementing, and optimizing a highly resilient and performant AWS network infrastructure, including multi-vendor CDN/Cloudfront solutions and fully automated infrastructure-as-code deployment (Terraform/Terragrunt). This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design and Implementation:  Architect, design, and implement complex AWS networking architectures to ensure scalability, security, and low latency.
  • IaC Automation:  Develop, maintain, and secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for all network components using Terraform/Terragrunt.
  • CDN and Resiliency:  Implement and manage AWS Cloudfront distributions and other CDN solutions, including deploying backup/failover mechanisms with vendors like Thales, Akamai, or AWS.
  • Network Optimization:  Apply AWS Best Practices (BPA) to continually optimize network performance, cost, and security posture.
  • Collaboration & Support:  Provide deep technical expertise in AWS networking to cross-functional engineering teams, supporting continuous integration and deployment efforts.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on large-scale cloud networking.
  • Deep expertise in overall AWS Networking.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Expertise in AWS Best Practices (BPA) for network architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloudfront distribution / CDN.
  • Mandatory experience with Terraform / Terragrunt for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience implementing and managing multi-vendor CDN solutions, specifically with Cloudflare and at least one of the following: Akamai, Thales, or AWS.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
    Nice to Have:
    • Experience with advanced AWS networking services such as Global Accelerator, Direct Connect, or Transit Gateway.
    • Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio.
    • Experience with VPN implementation and management.
