Senior Collections Specialist
Overview
Support a finance team as a Senior Collections Specialist in a fully remote, full-time role focused on improving cash flow and resolving outstanding receivables. You will manage customer outreach, review accounts receivable aging, address payment discrepancies, and partner with internal teams to move overdue accounts toward resolution. Success in this role requires sound judgment, tactful communication, strong follow-through, and the ability to build effective working relationships with customers, sales, and management.
Required Skills
- Experience in business-to-business collections or accounts receivable
- Ability to contact customers regarding overdue invoices and follow up on payment commitments
- Experience reviewing accounts receivable aging reports and prioritizing collection activity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
- Ability to research payment discrepancies and help resolve billing questions or disputes
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation practices
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and follow through on outstanding items
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, management, and other internal teams
- Strong conflict-resolution and relationship-building skills
- Ability to provide clear updates on outstanding balances, collection progress, and accounts requiring escalation
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience using NetSuite, particularly for running accounts receivable aging reports, analytics, and related reporting
- Experience using Salesforce (SFDC)
- Familiarity with Ariba
- Experience using ticketing systems such as Freshservice
- Demonstrated success with quantified collection results, including the amount collected and the time period achieved
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior experience in a senior collections or accounts receivable capacity is preferred.
- Business-to-business collections experience is preferred.
- Preferred educational background was not specified; relevant collections, accounts receivable, or finance experience will be considered.

- Must be able to work during the local business hours of your time zone
- Full-time availability
- Approximately three-month assignment, with potential for extension and possible conversion to a permanent position
- Ability to start promptly and commit to the anticipated assignment duration
