Title:  Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Type:  Contract
Contract Length:  3 months, renewable
Pay Range:  $58/hr – $90/hr
Start Date:  Immediate
Location:  Palo Alto, CA - Hybrid / Remote

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the automotive technology and software sector (ADAS platform), is looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer  to join their team for a 3-month engagement. This project involves providing critical DevOps coverage, ensuring infrastructure reliability, and maintaining guaranteed uptime across multiple production environments. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide SEV-1/SEV-2 incident coverage during PST/PDT hours to meet critical initial response SLAs (Follow-the-Sun Incident Response).
  • Deploy and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS using Terraform (IaC) for scalability.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions to ensure consistent software delivery across tenant environments.
  • Monitor Kubernetes workloads to maintain high platform stability and meet monthly uptime targets.
  • Integrate security best practices within pipelines and automate manual processes to reduce operational overhead.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of professional DevOps or SRE experience.
  • Deep expertise in AWS (S3, Aurora/Postgres, IAM, Route 53) and Kubernetes. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Experience with IaC and CI/CD, specifically with Terraform and GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, or ELK stack.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate across functional teams and international time zones (JP/NA).
