Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting

Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, you will leverage your expertise to lead complex financial disclosures, technical research, and process improvements, all while collaborating across internal teams and external auditors. Your technical acumen and leadership will be instrumental during a critical period of transition, with a potential pathway to a permanent leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, review, and quality control of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, utilizing Workiva.
- Manage the detailed review and preparation of supporting documentation for disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Drive technical accounting research and develop comprehensive memoranda on complex topics.
- Monitor new accounting standards and SEC disclosure updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors, supporting quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Oversee SOX controls and maintain the financial reporting calendar.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Accounting Operations, Treasury, FP&A, IR, Legal—to streamline reporting processes and implement efficiencies.
- Support ad hoc projects, process improvements, and special initiatives to enhance reporting scalability and accuracy.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; CPA license is mandatory.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including Big 4 public accounting and public company exposure.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SEC filings, particularly Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
- Advanced proficiency in Workiva, with strong understanding of XBRL and EDGAR requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to research and document complex technical accounting issues.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex topics clearly to varied audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Advanced degree such as an MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of relevant accounting and SEC reporting experience.
- Prior experience working in or with manufacturing or technology sectors.
Other Requirements:
- Location: Newark, NJ — 3 days in-office; must be fully onsite during the October peak period with some flexibility.
- Start date: Ideally 08/24/2026, subject to onboarding process.
- Duration: 3 to 4 months, with potential for contract extension or full-time conversion.
- Travel: None expected beyond onsite commitments.
