Job Title: Senior Manager/Director of Revenue

Join a dynamic and innovative organization as the Senior Manager/Director of Revenue, where you will lead critical revenue recognition initiatives during a pivotal ASC 606 implementation. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless revenue operations, supporting compliance, and partnering across departments to translate complex accounting standards into scalable, operational workflows. Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant revenue accountability
- CPA license or active CPA candidacy
- Extensive hands-on experience leading or supporting ASC 606 implementation
- Deep understanding of ASC 606, including contract analysis, performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration, and contract modifications
- Strong knowledge of ASC 340-40, US GAAP, and SOX compliance
- Proven experience developing technical memos, policies, procedures, and controls related to revenue recognition
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and revenue tools (CPQ, Salesforce, revenue subledgers)
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and project-management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with ERP implementations, revenue automation projects, or finance system migrations
- Background in hardware, software, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses
- Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, COGS analysis, and variance reporting
- Experience supporting external audits and responding to technical accounting inquiries
- Familiarity with revenue automation tools and subprocesses
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- 8-12+ years of relevant experience, including leadership roles in revenue accounting
- Public company experience or within late-stage private firms, with exposure to SOX compliance and external audits
Other Requirements:
- Location: Remote, with potential for monthly onsite meetings and availability for audit visits (currently anticipated in September)
- Start Date: ASAP, with flexibility for a two-week notice period
- Travel: Minimal, as this role is primarily remote but onsite presence may be required monthly or during audit periods
