About the Role:
As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will oversee multi-state US payroll, support international payroll processes, and manage equity plan transactions with precision. Your analytical skills will ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, while your expertise will help streamline processes through automation and innovative solutions. Collaborating cross-functionally, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting, tax filings, and audits — all in a company redefining the future of AI data movement.
What You'll Bring:
- Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in payroll processing, accounting, and stock/equity administration.
- Proven expertise with ADP Workforce Now handling U.S. payroll and review of international payroll.
- Hands-on experience administering equity plans using Carta, Shareworks, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance, along with GAAP principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to see how individual transactions impact broader financial statements.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and experience with automation tools.
- Excellent cross-team communication and confidentiality skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of global equity plans and multi-country tax compliance.
- Experience enhancing payroll workflows through automation or AI tools.
- Background in public company environments and ASC 718 compliance.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of payroll, accounting, and stock/equity administration experience.
- Experience processing multi-state US payroll and international payroll review.
Additional Requirements:
- This is an onsite role located in San Jose, CA.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment initially, with onsite presence at least 5 days when transitioning to permanent employment.
- Ability to start within 2 weeks and adapt to a temporary 3-5 month assignment with potential for full-time transition.
- Comfort with AI tools and process automation is a plus.
