About the Client & Opportunity
Our client is an industry leader in enterprise data storage platforms and next-generation data architecture. They are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the roadmap and strategy for their core enterprise storage operating system and underlying hardware platform infrastructure.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of enterprise software and hardware co-design. You will oversee critical platform initiatives, including controller optimization, flash media integration, fault tolerance/high availability, and seamless live updates.
Key Responsibilities
Core OS & Platform Roadmap: Own the product definition and strategic vision for core storage operating system services. Balance high-availability failover mechanisms, data reduction efficiency, and non-disruptive upgrade capabilities to maintain strict enterprise reliability standards.
Protocol & Systems Hardware Integration: Translate enterprise requirements across key block storage protocols (NVMe-oF, NVMe/TCP, Fibre Channel, iSCSI) into operational product specs that bridge new media and hardware controller innovations.
Data-Driven Roadmap Prioritization: Analyze system telemetry, benchmark analytics, and field performance data to uncover bottlenecks, optimize latency and throughput, and maintain a high-impact feature backlog.
Cross-Functional Co-Design: Partner closely with Platform Engineers, Systems QA, and Architecture teams to define technical acceptance criteria and deliver integrated hardware/software capabilities.
Field & Commercial Support: Create high-impact technical collateral, architectural positioning guides, and competitive insights to empower technical sales teams and enterprise customers.
Qualifications & Experience
Infrastructure Product Leadership: 5+ years of Product Management experience successfully defining and launching enterprise storage or infrastructure software capabilities.
Deep Storage Protocol Mastery: Hands-on expertise with block storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NVMe-oF/TCP) and internal storage OS mechanics (controller architecture, high availability/failover, non-disruptive upgrades).
Analytical & Telemetry Focus: Proven ability to leverage benchmark telemetry and system metrics (IOPS, throughput, latency, failure domain dynamics) to make data-backed product choices.
Stakeholder Alignment: Strong track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing engineering, hardware, and field teams without direct authority.
