Senior Revenue Accounting Contractor

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage revenue accounting processes, including billing, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
- Develop and implement scalable, audit-ready revenue recognition procedures
- Support external audits with accurate documentation and process enhancements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate revenue reporting and address complex accounting issues
- Drive continuous process improvements to optimize revenue accounting workflows
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in revenue accounting and revenue recognition principles
- Hands-on expertise with billing systems, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closes
- Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to lead projects, review work, and guide junior team members
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in fast-paced, scaling organizations
- Knowledge of external audit processes and compliance standards
- Experience with process automation and improving accounting workflows
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience
- Prior experience in a senior or managerial revenue accounting role
