About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Robotics, Hardware and Silicon & Systems, is looking for a skilled Sourcing Specialist
to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves supporting purchases spanning lab equipment, compute hardware, prototype components, engineering services and managed lab operations, helping keep development milestones and operational readiness on track. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the embedded sourcing partner to business teams, clarifying purchase needs and driving assigned requests through commercial review, contracting, and approval readiness.
- Reviewing business requirements, supplier selection, competitive quotes, pricing benchmarks, and total cost for assigned low-complexity purchases.
- Confirming agreed pricing, scope, and approvals are accurately reflected in Zip and partnering with Procurement Operations on a complete handoff for PO creation.
- Coordinating supplier responses and supporting evidence for Legal, Security, and other cross-functional reviews.
- Coordinating contracts, amendments, and SOWs through approved templates and Ironclad/CLM workflows.
- Supporting hardware and prototype purchases by reconciling technical specifications, quantities, quote revisions, delivery schedules, warranties and support coverage with engineering and lab stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep expertise in procurement coordination, sourcing support, purchasing operations, AP/finance ops, or supply chain support.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with procurement systems (Zip, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Coupa, Ariba, etc.) and Agile methodologies/Git version control where applicable.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
