Special Projects Program Manager - Archiving Migration

About the Role:
As the Special Projects Program Manager, you will independently steer a confidential, CEO-greenlit initiative to transition the company from an expensive legacy archiving vendor to a cutting-edge, proprietary platform. This is a high-impact role requiring precision, strategic thinking, and a relentless focus on deadlines, given the project's significance and associated risks. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless migration while managing external and internal expectations under strict confidentiality.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT or archival system migration projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive negotiations
- Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in project planning, risk management, and issue resolution
- Familiarity with AI-driven platform implementations a plus
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in legal negotiations or vendor management
- Knowledge of enterprise content management systems and archiving technologies
- Background in digital transformation or cloud migration projects
- Prior exposure to high-revenue or high-visibility projects at executive levels
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7+ years of project management experience, with a focus on IT/system migrations or enterprise transformations
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification is a plus
Other Requirements:
- US-based candidates only; remote work allowed
- Duration: 3 months (~12 weeks), with a target start date of August 31st
- Ability to work with confidential information and adhere to strict legal and security protocols
- Contract requires use of DeWinter laptop (pending security approval)
- Background check and Master Service Agreement (MSA) to be finalized internally
- Maximize efficiency under high-pressure, high-stakes conditions; limited interview rounds (2–3 per candidate)
