Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and review general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting, internal control evaluations, and month-end closing procedures.
- Develop ad hoc financial reports and analyses, often working with imperfect or incomplete data.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, communicating complex financial information clearly.
- Support process improvements, special projects, and other accounting functions as needed.
Required Skills:
- 2–3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with an audit or public accounting background.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to evolving processes, and evaluate financial information through a business lens.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Comfort working with imperfect data and developing practical solutions.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with curiosity toward resolving discrepancies.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with nonprofit or foundation accounting (not mandatory).
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, or Concur.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
- Proven track record in audit, accounting, or a related field, with a strong grasp of financial controls and reporting practices.
Other Requirements:
- This fully remote role is based in the U.S., with availability during Pacific Time business hours.
- Ability to start by 10/05/2026, with interview availability on Thursday and Friday of the same week.
- The onboarding process includes a two-week setup period for equipment delivery.
