Senior Accountant (Part-Time)
Overview
Join a fast-paced, high-volume accounting team at a growing SaaS organization as a Part-Time Senior Accountant. This contract role supports day-to-day finance operations and the monthly close, partnering closely with corporate finance teams across the U.S., Canada, and India. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of deadlines, keep deliverables moving, and ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and audit-ready.
Required Skills
- NetSuite expertise (must-have)
- Strong experience supporting the monthly close, including preparing close reporting packages
- Proven ability to prepare and post journal entries
- Hands-on experience with account reconciliations(timely, accurate, well-documented)
- Day-to-day accounting operations experience, including A/P and A/R management
- Experience with A/P approvals
- Strong understanding of banking activity support, including weekly reconciliations and matching
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently to manage deadlines and priorities
- Comfortable in a high-volume environment and able to move quickly without sacrificing accuracy
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with FloQast, Coupa, and/or Stripe
- Background in process improvement—identifying inefficiencies and recommending better workflows
- Experience working cross-functionally with distributed teams in multiple countries/time zones
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Senior-level accounting experience supporting close and operational accounting in a corporate environment
Other Requirements
- Part-time: approximately 20–24 hours/week
- Contract duration: 3–6 months
- Work arrangement: Remote-friendly for the right fit; ideally able to be onsite in Menlo Park, CA approximately 1x/month
- Reports to the Controller and works closely with a collaborative accounting team (team size: 9)
