Job Title: Sr. Finance Transformation Manager (Payable Subledger Implementation & Reconciliation)
Overview:

Join a dynamic team at DoorDash as a Sr. Finance Transformation Manager to lead the overhaul of their Payable Subledger supporting MX and DX accounts. This critical project involves validating, auditing, and enhancing the current subledger system to ensure it becomes the definitive source of truth, enabling seamless month-end closes and accurate financial reporting. Required Skills:
- Proven experience implementing or re-platforming a subledger end-to-end, not just operating one.
- Strong SQL skills (intermediate to advanced) for reading and writing, with the ability to support engineering efforts.
- Solid understanding of journal entry automation, accounting policies, and transaction flow.
- Experience with large-scale reconciliation, variance investigation, and data validation in high-volume environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, document findings, and produce clear deliverables.
- Familiarity with data lineage, exclusion rationale, and problem-solving related to transaction discrepancies.
- Ability to analyze sample transactions and trace them from source to journal entry.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
- Knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Experience in high-volume payments, gig economy, or marketplace environments.
- Understanding of automated journal entry engines and revenue recognition scripting.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent CPA experience preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance systems, reconciliation, or subledger implementation.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and working closely with data engineers or technical teams.
- Experience supporting large-scale, cross-functional projects involving finance, engineering, and analytics teams.
Other Requirements:
- Remote work preferred; candidates should be comfortable working across multiple time zones.
- Ability to start within the next 2-4 weeks.
- Duration: Approximate engagement until 12/31/2026, with potential extensions based on project needs.
