This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, shaping the physical footprint of a major consumer brand in a dynamic, hybrid work environment in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage schedules, budgets, and quality metrics across multiple sites, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and vendor construction teams, maintaining consistency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with design and internal partners to ensure build accuracy and adherence to approved plans.
  • Oversee refreshes, remodels, and field improvements with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain rigorous project controls, track project progress, manage change orders, and ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with facilities and operations teams to ensure seamless handoff and operational readiness.
  • Provide transparent, data-driven updates to stakeholders across Real Estate, Finance, Operations, and Design teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing construction delivery through project managers or vendors.
  • Ability to oversee a broad portfolio of concurrent projects with a focus on quality, safety, schedule, and cost.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, cost control, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent vendor oversight, performance management, and issue resolution skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with project management tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working in retail or commercial construction environments.
  • Familiarity with design coordinate and constructability reviews.
  • Prior experience with project controls, scheduling software, and facility management systems.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience overseeing large-scale construction projects, preferably in retail or commercial sectors.

Additional Requirements:

  • This role is a hybrid position based in San Diego, CA, requiring onsite presence at multiple locations.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Certifications such as PMP, LEED, or OSHA are a plus.

Step into a leadership role where your expertise drives impactful retail transformations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and aligned with brand standards.
