Store Design Project Manager / Fixture Engineer
Join a dynamic retail-focused team as a Store Design Project Manager / Fixture Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the retail environment of tomorrow. This position demands an innovative mindset combined with technical expertise to lead the design and engineering of custom store fixtures and displays. You will serve as the critical link between internal retail teams and external manufacturing vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration, precise technical oversight, and cost-effective production for major store rollouts in the vibrant Dublin, CA area.
Required Skills:
- Strong background in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience managing fixture and display projects within retail environments
- Expertise in reviewing technical drawings, resolving manufacturing challenges, and optimizing production processes
- Exceptional project management and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate between internal teams and external vendors
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working directly with retail brands such as Gap, Old Navy, Macy's, or similar
- Knowledge of retail sourcing, procurement workflows, and vendor management
- Familiarity with retail fixture standards and industry best practices
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in retail fixture engineering or store design management
- Experience working with international or domestic manufacturing partners
Other Requirements:
- Must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area and available to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday–Thursday) in Dublin, CA
- This role is a 6-month contract for maternity leave coverage, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile retail projects in a hybrid working environment
