About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) industry, is looking for a skilled Test Engineer – Overwatch to join their Product Software QA team for a 6-month engagement. This project focuses on the manual and automated validation of "Overwatch," a mission-critical web application. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running, work cross-functionally, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Automation & Manual Testing: Develop, maintain, and expand Playwright automation test cases to enhance regression coverage. Perform manual testing for features, releases, hotfixes, and pre-merge validations.
- Vehicle Mission Testing: Conduct vehicle mission testing, evaluate outcomes, and provide detailed reporting and analysis.
- Triage & Troubleshooting: Support defect triage by identifying, reproducing, and verifying issues across Dev, Staging, and Production environments.
- Process Innovation: Leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency and contribute to ongoing process and automation improvements within the QA organization.
- Release Ownership: Provide QA sign-off for release readiness, ensure all validation activities meet quality standards, document test results, and track issues to closure.
- Collaboration: Partner with developers, QA leads, and product managers to ensure test completeness and feature validation readiness.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 1–3 years of experience as a QA Engineer with proven skills in testing large-scale, complex applications.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Strong working experience in industry-standard testing tools like JIRA and TestRail.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
- Experience in operations is considered a plus.
