Test Technician

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and execute comprehensive software release testing to validate quality standards prior to deployment.
- Support vehicle operations and mission-critical tasks, performing basic software operation duties.
- Assist with documentation, metrics collection, and crafting detailed test cases for emergency and maintenance releases.
- Analyze vehicle logs and test data using proprietary tools to troubleshoot and identify root causes.
- Support defect management processes, from identification to resolution.
- Execute mission preparation procedures, including software deployment across multiple devices, verifying configurations, capturing data, and escalating issues as needed.
- Transition manual in-vehicle test cases to simulation environments to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to a safety-first, inclusive team culture through clear communication and diligent documentation.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience leading QA testing efforts for software releases.
- Strong ability to execute complex test cases, document results, and report defects using tools like TestRail and Jira.
- Proficiency with JIRA/Confluence or Azure DevOps.
- At least 2 years of experience in complex testing or vehicle testing environments.
- Basic knowledge of QA testing methodologies.
- Proactive, resourceful mindset with a “get it done” attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Coding experience in Python or similar high-level languages.
- Familiarity with communication busses such as CAN and Ethernet.
- Scripting experience for automation or process improvements.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
- A strong background in vehicle testing, automation, or similar fields with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Other Requirements:
- Onsite role requiring 5 days per week in Las Vegas, NV.
- Shift: Thursday – Monday, Swing Shift (3:30PM - 12:00AM).
- Must be willing to support a safety-focused, collaborative environment with excellent communication skills.
- Must hold necessary certifications or clearances if applicable.
