About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the Autonomous Vehicle industry, is looking for a skilled Test Technician - QA
to join their team for a 6+ month engagement. This project involves maintaining a high standard of safety inside and outside the vehicle, ensuring vehicle readiness, and completing software and hardware tests. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting vehicle operations and conducting basic software operation tasks.
- Supporting missions through a wide variety of roles in and out of vehicles.
- Assisting with documentation and metrics, and providing accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams.
- Analyzing vehicle logs and test data using in-house tools to trace failures for root cause analysis, documentation, and communication.
- Supporting the defect management process from recognition to resolution.
- Executing mission prep procedures, including launching software, verifying configurations, deploying software, capturing data, and escalating issues.
- Executing testing and data collection to evolve processes and tools to support observed customer needs.
- Upholding a safety-centric, inclusive, and open-communication culture.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years of experience running complex testing or vehicle testing.
- Basic QA testing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive mindset and resourcefulness.
- Proficiency in JIRA/Confluence (or Azure Dev Ops).
- Proficiency with MS Office/Google Suites.
- A "get it done" attitude, safety-first mindset, and a sense of urgency to resolve problems and tasks.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and deliver in high-pressure situations.
- Works well in a team environment.
