About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Autonomous Vehicle Technology, is looking for a skilled Test Technician - QA to join their team for a 6+ months engagement. This project involves maintaining a high standard of safety inside and outside the vehicle, maintaining vehicle readiness, and completing essential software and hardware tests for their autonomous vehicle program. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Support vehicle operations
- Conduct basic software operation tasks
- Support missions through a wide variety of roles in and out of vehicles
- Assist with documentation and metrics
- Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams
- Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness
- Analyze vehicle logs and test data using in-house tools to trace failures for root cause analysis, documentation, and communication
- Support defect management process from recognition to resolution
- Execute mission prep procedures, which include, but are not limited to launching software across several devices per vehicle, verifying SW and HW configurations, deploying SW as appropriate, capturing requested data, and escalating issues as they arise.
- Execute testing and data collection to evolve processes and tools to support observed customer needs
- Uphold a safety-centric, inclusive, and open-communication culture
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience running complex testing or vehicle testing.
- Deep expertise in testing, basic QA testing, JIRA/Confluence (or Azure Dev Ops), and proficiency with MS Office/Google Suites. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with problem solving and delivering on high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
- Proactive mindset and resourcefulness.
- Possess a “get it done” attitude, safety-first mindset, and a sense of urgency to resolve problems and tasks.
- Works well in a team environment.
