About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in health technology, is looking for a skilled UX Designer to join their team for a 3+ months engagement. This project involves designing user interfaces for Company software, hardware and web products to meet customer needs and deliver optimum user experience. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing user interfaces for Company software, hardware and web products to meet customer needs and deliver optimum user experience.
- Leading interface idea generation, design and prototyping and working with project staff throughout development and testing phases to complete projects.
- Coordinating with product management, development, quality assurance, visual design and usability engineers to understand product requirements and identify solutions to user interface challenges.
- Developing creative responses to UX issues that arise during development and testing.
- Building prototypes and simulations of user interfaces.
- Producing wireframes, flow diagrams, specifications and other design related documentation.
- Participating in user research and observing usability tests which are organized and facilitated by usability engineers.
- Extending and maintaining pattern libraries, and other standards resources, to document common approach to Company user interface design.
- Building interface design discipline as a component of the product development process.
- Advocating for user-centered design process and contributing to overall user experience of Company products.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- Basic software interaction design experience.
- Deep expertise in user-centered design philosophy and process, software and product development methodologies, and working knowledge of prototyping software such as Figma (experience with AI/generative UI is a plus). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with multiple interaction design projects as a team member.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team, including basic meeting facilitation and specification writing skills.
