Overview

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in UX research, preferably within enterprise or internal settings
  • Proven expertise in applying qualitative research methods such as interviews, diary studies, observations, and workflow diagramming
  • Strong ability to build personas and identify unmet user needs and pain points
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and communicate insights effectively
  • Passion for human-centered design and inclusive research practices
  • Experience advocating for users and challenging assumptions within collaborative team environments

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience working with technical and enterprise users, especially in operational or field-focused environments
  • Background in AI solutions, especially building or researching end-to-end AI-powered products
  • Familiarity with research and design for diverse user groups and accessibility considerations
  • Experience working on product suites or integrated tools, particularly in autonomous vehicles or related high-tech systems

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant research experience, especially with internal and technical users
  • Prior experience in automating workflows and designing solutions that integrate seamlessly across platforms

Other Requirements

  • Location: Hybrid – Foster City, CA (willingness to work onsite as needed)
  • Employment Type: W2 only
  • Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
  • Ability to lead research initiatives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and present findings clearly
  • Strong analytical skills and future-oriented thinking to anticipate user needs in evolving technological landscapes
