Warehouse Associate

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming production materials against purchase orders and system records.
- Perform precise physical and system-based receiving transactions.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, labeling issues, and discrepancies, escalating concerns promptly.
- Safely move materials within the facility, including receiving, staging, storage, and production lines.
- Stock and organize inventory following established storage strategies, ensuring accurate locations and traceability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and labeled warehouse environment adhering to 5S principles.
- Optimize storage utilization, consolidate inventory, and identify layout improvements.
- Replenish production lines based on Min/Max levels and production priorities.
- Support inventory activities such as binning, kitting, cycle counts, and audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, research history, and collaborate on root cause resolution.
- Remove obsolete or inactive materials while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Assist in movement, picking, packing, labeling, and preparing outbound shipments.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Follow and suggest improvements to work instructions to enhance safety and efficiency.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, logistics, or inventory control.
- Strong understanding of warehouse organization, inventory management, and material storage.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, or MRP systems.
- Proven accuracy in physical and system inventory transactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication—both written and verbal.
- Capability to work independently and cross-collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Extensive hands-on experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings is highly valued.
Other Requirements:
- This position is onsite in South San Francisco.
- Ability to work extended hours or shifts if needed.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
