Our client, a leader in FinTech, is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join their team for a 6-9 month engagement. This project involves supporting organizational growth by taking ownership of the accounting close process and driving continuous improvements and automation. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and reward liability calculations (40–50%)
- Partner with Sales, FP&A, Product, and RevOps teams (20–30%)
- Manage program-related inquiries and oversee internal accounting processes (20–30%)
- Lead 1 direct report (Senior Accountant)
- Ensure SOX compliance and strong internal controls
- Oversee complex, high-volume rewards programs from both an accounting and operational perspective
- Perform complex reconciliations, calculations, and large-scale data analysis
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiency
Qualifications, Skills:
Must Have:
- 5+ years of accounting experience with manager-level responsibility
- Experience managing complex accounting programs (rewards, incentives, liabilities)
- Strong month-end close and reconciliation experience
- Experience working with large datasets (10,000+ records/customers)
- SOX compliance experience
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Experience with complex calculations and operational accounting processes
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and team-oriented
- CPA (strongly preferred)
- Big 4 and/or Public Accounting background
- NetSuite experience
- BlackLine experience
