Our client, a publicly traded technology company in the Bay Area, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the team during a transitional period. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and quarter-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, intercompany activity, and financial reporting support
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and SOX controls to support a scalable public company environment
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Coordinate external audit activities, manage PBC requests, and ensure audit deliverables are organized and completed on schedule
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce manual effort
- Support special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives as the organization continues to grow and evolve
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a blend of public accounting and industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience applying accounting guidance in a dynamic business environment
- Experience managing close processes and working within ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and maintaining effective internal controls in a public company setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a process improvement mindset
