Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable and accounting support roles, preferably within an agency, media, or fast-paced services environment.
  • Hands-on expertise in end-to-end AP operations, including vendor onboarding, payment controls, reconciliations, and accrual support.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups)
  • Concur system experience to manage credit card transactions
  • Strong understanding of GAAP as it relates to accounts payable, accruals, and expense recognition.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Highly organized and analytical

Job Description : We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Lead to oversee and execute our day-to-day AP operations while strengthening process discipline across the agency. In this critical role, you will own the full procure-to-pay cycle—from invoice intake and vendor management to credit card reconciliation and employee expense oversight. You will serve as a key partner to our Senior Controller, bridging operational execution with the broader accounting cycle and ensuring our financial data remains accurate, compliant, and visible. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to implement best practices that improve turnaround times and financial controls.
Responsibilities:
  • Own AP Operations: Manage end-to-end invoice processing, coding, approvals, and weekly payment runs, ensuring adherence to payment terms and internal policies.
  • Vendor & Compliance Management: Maintain accurate vendor records, manage 1099 reporting, and enforce procure-to-pay controls and PO-backed spending disciplines.
  • Reconciliation & Expenses: Oversee timely credit card reconciliation and review employee reimbursable expenses in Concur for policy compliance.
  • Client Financial Support: Collaborate with Client Finance to ensure vendor costs are accurately coded and allocated to client projects, supporting smooth billing and budget tracking.
  • Accounting & Close Support: Assist in month-end close activities, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations, and provide essential AP reporting to management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and champion opportunities to reduce manual inefficiencies and strengthen financial controls, contributing to a responsive and organized finance environment.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a central point of contact for internal teams and vendors, balancing operational urgency with clear, professional communication.
