About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Healthcare Technology, is looking for a skilled Backend Software QE Lead to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves enhancing quality assurance by leading backend testing efforts, developing test automation strategies, and mentoring team members to ensure applications meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and execute detailed, comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Manage End-to-End ecosystem testing, performing various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory.
- Provide leadership by mentoring junior QA engineers and reviewing their test cases for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure test coverage, traceability, and quality metrics are met, and provide input on improving testing processes and tools.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla, and participate actively in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Testing Engineer or in a Quality Engineering leadership role.
- Deep expertise in Quality Engineering leadership, Java coding, and database (SQL) skills. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with managing End-to-End ecosystem testing, defect tracking, and working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
