About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the Asset Management and Private Equity sector, is looking for a skilled Lead Business Analyst – Corporate Risk Analytics to join their team. This role is responsible for leading critical projects focused on risk analytics and modelling, driving corporate risk initiatives, and serving as the analytical link between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate has a non-negotiable background in complex risk platforms and is technical enough to understand and manipulate underlying code. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a seasoned professional.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and own projects focused on developing and enhancing Risk analytics and modelling capabilities within the Asset Management/Private Equity firm.
- Perform heavy Corporate Risk analysis and translate complex risk requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and engineering teams, utilizing a strong functional understanding of SQL and Python to guide development and implementation.
- Drive the full project lifecycle for risk platform initiatives from discovery through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Manage stakeholder expectations across functional groups and ensure consistent, timely, and accurate communication regarding project status.
We are looking for a professional with a proven track record of success in risk and quantitative analysis. The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, including at least 5 years as a Lead Business Analyst on a Risk platform.
- Deep expertise in Corporate Risk analysis and Risk Analytics within the Asset Management or Private Equity domain. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Strong technical understanding of SQL and Python (must be able to understand and manipulate, but not necessarily write, code).
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects around risk analytics and modelling in a financial services environment.
- A Quantitative (Quant) background is highly desired.
