About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer - Serviceability  to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves evaluating and refining diagnostic strategies and tools to improve the serviceability and maintainability of electrical and electronic systems in their products. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Driving Design for Serviceability (DFS) requirements for every electronic control module and I/O by establishing relationships with Manufacturing, Validation, and Product Development teams.
  • Working closely with the Service Documentation team to develop diagnostic, programming, and repair procedures.
  • Collaboratively designing, developing, and validating on-board and off-board diagnostic test tools for reporting codes, parameters, and control functions for both insourced and outsourced controllers.
  • Evaluating electronic controls for part design interchangeability and HW/FW/SW compatibility in support of spare part and data file release strategy.
  • Supporting wiring system serviceability (e.g., bundle routing, connectors, terminals) and schematic development for ease of troubleshooting and repair.
  • Participating in requirements definition as it pertains to service, availability, and reliability of the product.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 to 4 years of related industry experience.
  • Ability to comprehend schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector end views/pinouts.
  • Familiarity with both automotive diagnostic tools and vehicle communication networking protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to manage projects.
Familiarity with autonomous vehicles is a plus.
  • W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
