: ASAP Location
: Foster City, CA (On-site, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM) About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Automotive Technology, is looking for a skilled Engineering Technician
to join their team for a 6+ month engagement. This project involves supporting the development of various electronic hardware through rapid prototyping and low volume hardware assembly to facilitate quick design iterations for product development. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Accurately assemble and test a variety of electronic hardware from engineering prototypes through short run production.
  • Assist Engineers during the development of new products to optimize the manufacturing process and develop alternative assembly techniques.
  • Perform as a Quality Delegate, inspecting work from other technicians in the Engineering Lab.
  • Perform final product testing in accordance with written procedures.
  • Maintain a consistent track-record of attendance and ensure your work area and equipment is kept neat, clean, and well organized.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 4+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Deep expertise in using standard assembly tools (e.g., cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, torque tools) and hands-on lab experience with equipment (e.g., power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Experience with reading technical documents and drawings, and adhering to process details (e.g., IPC-610, IPC-620, or JSTD-10).
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
