Start Date:  5/4
Location:  Hybrid - Los Gatos, CA (Tues, Weds, Thurs in office)

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in Media & Technology, is looking for a skilled Financial Analyst  to join their team for a contract engagement through February 2027. This project involves supporting the Technology FP&A team by managing data-entry, validation, and reconciliation to build accurate financial forecasts for headcount and infrastructure expenses (including Cloud, SW, and HW). This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Execute and manage data entry for forecasting and analysis.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation analysis.
  • Update data across internal dashboards and tools.
  • Contribute to presentations and memos that support financial and business decisions.
  • Support the quarterly forecast cycle and budget submission process.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2+ years  of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
  • Deep expertise in core FP&A skills, including technical modeling, and proficiency with spreadsheet-based tools (Google Sheets or Excel) and financial systems (TM1 or Oracle). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Experience with the quarterly forecast cycle and sound working knowledge of accounting, particularly fixed assets and capital builds.
  • Experience with managing and analyzing large, complex data sets.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and the ability to effectively connect to, manage, and extract relevant data from various financial systems and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to provide crisp, clear status updates to the project team.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with technical infrastructure (cloud or networking) environments.
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, or maintaining interactive dashboards (Tableau, Looker) and/or data-oriented programming languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools.
