Title:  Full Stack Engineer
Job Type:  Contract to Hire
Contract Length:  6 months
Target Start Date:  ASAP
Work Location/Structure:  Hybrid in New York Office (Onsite 3 days a week)

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the FinTech/Financial Domain, is looking for a skilled  Full Stack Engineer  to join their team for a 6 month contract to hire engagement with the goal of conversion to a permanent role. This project involves creating, enhancing, and maintaining a real-time syndicated loan platform, with a focus on developing secure, performant, and scalable backend services. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and own both front-end and back-end applications for the platform.
  • Collaborating with Product and UX to translate client needs into high-impact, high-visibility solutions.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and building test automation across the full stack.
  • Optimizing applications for performance and scalability in a cloud environment.
  • Contributing to the technical foundation and culture of the Application Development squad and helping mentor new team members.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of full stack development experience (backend with Java/Spring Boot, front-end with React/Angular).
  • Deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot, a modern front-end framework (React or Angular - TypeScript/JavaScript), REST APIs and GraphQL, and SQL/NoSQL databases. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and operate with an entrepreneurial spirit in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with build and development tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, and Artifactory.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to partner with multi-functional teams.
