About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in high-growth technology, is looking for a skilled Director of IT Operations to join their team for an interim engagement. This project involves strategically scaling IT operations across IT Support, Systems Engineering, and Infrastructure to support global expansion in a lean, fast-paced environment. This is a critical leadership role that begins as a contract with potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a global IT team, ensuring high-level performance across support and engineering functions.
- Strategic Planning: Drive long-term IT roadmaps and scalability initiatives to support global expansion.
- Infrastructure & Systems: Oversee the management of core networking, identity management (Okta), and systems architecture (Google Workspace).
- Operations Management: Streamline global asset management and procurement processes for a distributed workforce.
- Problem Solving: Navigate and resolve operational disruptions with a calm, decisive, and collaborative approach.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant IT leadership experience, specifically in scaling technology companies through periods of rapid growth.
- Deep expertise in core enterprise platforms: Okta, Google Workspace, Jira, and Zoom. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience managing mixed hardware environments (Mac/PC) with a focus on modern, cloud-first infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical strategy for executive leadership and provide clear direction to technical teams.
