About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is looking for a detail-oriented IT Desktop Support Technician to join their Client Services team for a 6-month engagement. This role focuses on providing high-quality IT support to all end users, acting as the first point of contact for technical issues. This is a high-impact, onsite role that requires a service-minded professional who can manage requests efficiently, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure a seamless experience for employees.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Support Management: Fielding all incoming support requests, managing Tier 1 support tickets via email, Slack, and ticketing systems (Jira/ServiceNow), and ensuring timely resolution.
- Account Administration: Creating, managing, and troubleshooting user accounts and access permissions via Active Directory.
- Escalation & Tracking: Monitoring, tracking, and prioritizing tickets, escalating complex issues to appropriate IT staff as needed, and maintaining accurate support logs.
- Trend Analysis: Identifying and reporting support trends to improve team efficiency and proactive issue resolution.
- Onsite Service: Providing reliable, in-person technical support to end users to maintain operational continuity.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar IT Support role.
- High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware, and applications, including experience with Active Directory and Google Workspace.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows, Ubuntu, and macOS environments.
- Basic networking knowledge (VPN, DHCP, DNS) and experience with ticketing systems like Jira, ServiceNow, or Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, with the ability to diagnose issues rapidly and provide clear, professional communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
