About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the autonomous vehicle industry, is looking for a hands-on IT Operations Specialist to support their Technical Operations (TechOps) function within a real-time Fusion Center environment in Las Vegas, NV. This role is crucial for capturing and improving the technical backbone of live, mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and documentation skills with practical experience in systems, networking, and operations workflows. This is a fully on-site role in a secure facility, requiring a background check, and supporting real-time systems.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Process Documentation: Shadowing and meticulously documenting live operational workflows, dependencies, and system interactions.
- Process Improvement: Mapping technical processes to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and drafting clear improvement recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinating with cross-functional teams (Ops, DevOps, Infrastructure, Engineering) to streamline workflows and ensure technical efficiency.
- Communication: Communicating findings, program status, and technical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong technical documentation and analytical capability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Windows workstation support
- Real-time operations or command-center environments
- TCP/IP networking or systems administration
- Web application or infrastructure troubleshooting
- Experience in a NOC/SOC/Operations Center or equivalent 24x7 support environment is highly desired.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, cloud diagnostics, or automation platforms.
- Comfortable collaborating with DevOps / Infrastructure teams.
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work the required shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, including weekend shifts.
