About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in Healthcare, is looking for a skilled Jr. Computer Vision Data Scientist  to join their team for a 7 months engagement. This project involves collaborating with engineering teams, clinical experts, and business stakeholders to deliver high performing embedded computer vision algorithms. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and deploy embedded computer vision algorithms for veterinary diagnostic platforms using a combination of deep learning and classic computer vision methods.
  • Utilize strong software engineering skills to develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient code for computer vision applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Work with embedded systems and NVIDIA GPUs to optimize and deploy algorithms for real-time processing and inference.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. This role is ideal for candidates with 0–3 years of experience who have strong academic coursework or hands-on exposure to deep learning and computer vision. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Fluency in Python programming and exposure to deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and numerical Python programs (e.g., numpy).
  • A deep interest and practical project experience in computer vision algorithms using deep learning and classical methods (coursework, personal projects, and internships are good examples).
  • A foundational software engineering skillset, including testing and experience optimizing routines for performance and delivering scalable, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with NVIDIA embedded GPU optimization.
  • Familiarity with microscopy, digital cytology, or digital pathology imaging.
  • Experience using Databricks or proficiency in AWS services for data processing, storage, and deployment.
