Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and Deployment: Design, build, and deploy LLM and non-LLM based models to solve critical user-facing classifier problems.
- Model Iteration: Help the internal team with rapid iteration of models that span a wide variety of content types (text/link/images/video).
- Tooling: Build model testing/validation and other internal tools that help the team execute faster and accelerate the ML development process.
- Production Impact: Your work will directly impact the automation of moderation actions and enforcement of community rules.
- Collaboration: Work with the existing engineering team to contribute to the direction of the project and the team.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of end-to-end experience in training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
- Deep expertise in Python and a solid understanding of software development best practices for rapid development. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Experience working with Classifier problems and building ML capabilities for user-facing products.
- Familiarity with image/video processing ML systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and data scientists, to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Track record of using machine learning to drive key performance indicator (KPI) wins and solve complex, real-world problems.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
- Experience in Google Vertex/Gemini LLM and its capabilities.
