About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in Data Security and Cyber Resiliency, is looking for a skilled Oracle Consultant  to join their team for an 8-week engagement. This project involves performing a deep review and validation of their Oracle deployment and solutioning architecture. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Deployment & Upgrades: Architecting Oracle database deployment and managing seamless upgrades.
  • Patch Management: Managing Oracle host security patches while ensuring minimal to zero downtime.
  • Security Validation: Defining and validating security requirements specific to highly regulated database environments.
  • Performance Insight: Providing deep insight into factors affecting database performance and how third-party solutions like IBM Guardium impact overall efficiency.
  • Design Partnership: Acting as the authoritative Oracle subject matter expert, partnering with engineering teams on design and deployment models within the Oracle ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle, including database internals, processes, and how they interact with monitoring solutions like IBM Guardium. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Proven expertise in database backup/recovery intricacies and designing solutions to ensure minimal data loss in highly transactional environments.
  • Experience defining architecture for mission-critical database environments for customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
