About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the autonomous vehicle and robotics industry, is looking for a skilled PLM Applications Support Engineer to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project is critical for maintaining and enhancing their Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) infrastructure, focusing heavily on the Dassault Systèmes 3DExperience (3DX)/Enovia platform. This role involves full PLM lifecycle development, including deployments, customization, configuration, and upgrades. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running, improve system performance, and provide crucial end-user support.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- System Installation and Upgrade: Install 3DX services and applications on a Linux environment, and execute major and FixPack upgrades for 3DExperience.
- Customization and Development: Develop software integrations between Enovia and existing database systems using Web Services, XML, and related development tools. Develop Java Program Objects (JPOs) and Tcl/Tk scripts.
- System Optimization: Configure reverse proxies and load balancers. Analyze and improve 3DSpaceIndexing performance, and be responsible for FCS configuration and filestore syncing.
- Database & Testing: Automate Database refreshes between multiple environments and use MS SQL knowledge to analyze slowness and database lock issues. Develop and execute test procedures for unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Support and Maintenance: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems within the Enovia PLM system, perform system diagnostics, and provide day-to-day system maintenance, end-user support, and training.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 6+ years of related experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Enovia applications, Java, JSP, and Windows Server Administration.
- Experience integrating ERP, Solidworks, and CATIA V6 to the 3DExperience platform.
- Working knowledge of 3DExperience and CAD Systems like CATIA V6.
- Strong technical knowledge in system administration, including the installation of 3DX services on a Linux environment and managing upgrades.
- Knowledgeable on DSLS (Dassault Systèmes License Server) and MS SQL.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, computer science, or a technology-related field.
