About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the autonomous fleet management space, is looking for a skilled QA Engineer to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves ensuring that our backend services are optimized, secure, and offer the highest level of reliability for our autonomous fleet management systems. These services support critical missions such as rideshare trips, charging, cleaning, and rider interactions like authentication, ingress, and egress. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement test plans and procedures for our backend services, which include ride hailing, autonomous charging, cleaning, fleet monitoring, and coordination applications.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts that simulate multi-agent coordination, resource allocation, planning, and optimization workflows for a fleet of autonomous vehicles.
- Validate and verify the functionality and efficiency of APIs, services, and data models intended for use by rider mobile apps, robots, and fleet management tools, and support the integration of these clients.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that the backend systems are scalable, observable, and fault tolerant.
- Lead independent activities such as ZPT triage, root cause analysis, release testing, and process improvement.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance.
- Experience with Python and writing scripts that exercise workflows.
- Deep expertise in API testing, including understanding API documentation and specifications.
- Experience analyzing backend logs for triaging issues and inclusion in bug reports.
- Demonstrated ability to lead independent activities such as root cause analysis and process improvement.
- A Bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or related field.
