About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Software/Veterinary Diagnostics, is looking for a skilled React Software Developer to join their team for an 18-month engagement. This project involves playing a key role in developing and maintaining cloud-hosted, high-traffic web applications essential for veterinary information management and service delivery. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and testing feature initiatives based on technical requirements provided by analysts and product teams.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.
- Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects, and identifying business needs to develop and present solutions.
- Coordinating with product team members to define application requirements.
- Acting as a technical expert and leader, including potentially designing system architectures.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience with full-stack development in React using Typescript and Node.js.
- Deep expertise in backend for frontend design patterns. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Professional experience operating within a Scrum framework and general applications development processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, with a collaborative and self-aware character.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences.
