Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Range: $75 - $80/hr
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid - San Jose, CA
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the enterprise technology sector, is looking for a seasoned Senior IT Business Analyst to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves acting as the vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, taking ownership of the project lifecycle for smaller, high-impact initiatives, and driving enterprise AI enablement efforts. The ideal candidate is comfortable facilitating discovery workshops with executives and performing UAT with developers. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Requirements & Stakeholder Management: Lead discovery sessions to elicit, translate, and document complex business needs into clear technical specifications (User Stories, PRDs, and Process Maps). Map current ("as-is") and design future ("to-be") business processes.
- Technical Partnership & Quality Assurance: Collaborate daily with developers to clarify requirements and remove blockers. Assist the engineering team by defining acceptance criteria and performing functional testing to ensure the "Definition of Done" is met.
- Project Leadership: Act as a de-facto Project Manager for smaller workstreams, prioritizing the backlog based on business value and ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
- AI Adoption & Enablement: Drive enterprise AI enablement by developing and executing strategies to encourage widespread user adoption of AI tools. Master prompt engineering to get desired results from GenAI tools and train others to do the same through workshops and training materials.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, with a proven track record of supporting the full SDLC.
- Deep expertise in Agile or hybrid project methodologies. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Strong understanding of AI platforms, conversational interfaces, and enterprise knowledge systems.
- Proficiency in tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, Confluence, wireframing tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Figma, or Miro), and GenAI tools (e.g. Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot).
- Strong experience in functional testing, regression testing, and identifying logical gaps in software workflows.
- Exceptional ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical people and business goals to engineers.
- W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
