About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in Cloud Computing and IT Infrastructure, is looking for a skilled Senior Project Manager  to join their team for a 6+ months engagement. This project involves taking consulting engagements of medium to high complexity, with up to $1M in revenue, from initiation to close-out. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Project Management Oversight: Serve as the single point of contact/accountability for consulting engagements, managing them within mutually agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget while adhering to PMO methodology.
  • Planning and Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including charter, scope, work breakdown structures, estimates, resource plans, budget, and risk assessment/mitigation plans across multiple work streams.
  • Risk Management & Quality Control: Direct and monitor daily work efforts, identify resource needs, perform quality review, and proactively take corrective action to define and manage overall project risks.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and timely communication regarding project status, including schedule, budget, progress to date, risks, and milestones to all relevant stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Business Development Support: Engage with Sales and Account teams to identify and drive account growth opportunities and provide thought leadership to enhance customer relationships.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical project management role, preferably as a Professional Services consultant.
  • Deep functional domain and technical knowledge in large-scale Data Center (DC) modernization, IT transformation, Hybrid cloud, and Intra/Inter DC Virtual Machine (VM) migration projects.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or engineer, preferably with a Technology or “Big 5” consulting organization.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, essential for acting as an accountable leader and trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
