About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the Autonomous Vehicle Industry, is looking for a skilled Senior Technical Product Manager - Operations Software to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves stewarding a software product line focused on fleet orchestration, which is integral to building their live autonomous mobility service. The core focus is on optimizing robot utilization as daily missions are conducted across multiple geographies. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping to optimize the way the robot fleet is utilized.
- Stewarding the software product line and curating its roadmap.
- Working closely with Design, Engineering, and Technical Program Managers to refine and prioritize features and requirements.
- Defining metrics that accurately measure the health and performance of the fleet orchestration systems.
- Driving collaboration, alignment, and affecting outcomes with influence instead of authority.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 6 to 8 years of product management experience.
- Deep expertise in product-lifecycle management. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- A technical background with the ability to learn and understand Software development, back-end systems, web apps APIs, and technical tradeoffs.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and demonstrate curiosity and a desire to figure out how to make things better.
