About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in Healthcare Technology, is looking for a skilled Software Automation Engineer  to join their team for a 7 months engagement. This project involves developing and executing automated testing strategies to ensure the quality and effective performance of software applications prior to implementation. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and execute formal plans, procedures, and scenarios for manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of software applications.
  • Plan tests, write test cases/scripts, and perform smoke, application, functional, and regression testing.
  • Document and track test results, defects, and other quality metrics, participating in problem resolution.
  • Review and assess test coverage to ensure a thorough quality review prior to implementation.
  • Develop and implement quality standards and best practices, contributing ideas toward continuous improvement, and acting as an internal quality consultant.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Deep expertise in automation using JavaScript and TypeScript (developer-level understanding) and hands-on experience with modern testing frameworks like Cypress and Playwright. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Extensive experience in SOAP & REST API testing using HTTP clients and standalone tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL (Select, insert, update, delete & joins) for database testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
  • Nice to Have: Experience with DICOM technology, AWS services (lambdas, notifications, parameter store), CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Github Actions, and command line proficiency.

  • W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
