About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Autonomous Vehicle Technology, is looking for a skilled Software Developer in Test to join their team for a 6 months engagement. This project involves building and enhancing scalable integration automation frameworks to ensure the comprehensive reliability and validation of safety-critical software used in the customer fleet. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Architect and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
- Design and build a mocking framework for the backend service to remove Mobile app testing dependency.
- Develop, maintain, and expand Playwright automation test cases to enhance regression coverage and test efficiency.
- Conduct vehicle mission testing and provide detailed reporting and analysis on mission outcomes.
- Support triage activities and assist in identifying, reproducing, and verifying defects across environments (Dev, Staging, and Production).
- Document test results, maintain traceability to requirements, and track issues to closure.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Development in Test with experience in writing automation frameworks and tests.
- Deep expertise in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using programming languages like Kotlin/JAVA, Swift, or Python. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with API testing, test automation design patterns, and tools such as PyTest, JIRA, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud applications and infrastructure technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and nginx.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or engineering.
- W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
