Our client, a leader in the healthcare technology sector, is looking for an entry-level Software Development Specialist to join their team for a 1-year engagement. This project involves supporting a custom Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform critical to the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level professional to blend hands-on IT support with light software development, working in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes responsive communication, thorough troubleshooting, and consistent delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Platform Support: Providing responsive support for the custom RMM platform, owning issues from the first report through to confirmed resolution.
- Scripting & Development: Performing scripting work (e.g., PowerShell) related to software used in company products and the RMM platform.
- Technical Documentation: Maintaining organized documentation, tickets, and tasks, ensuring work is clearly recorded for others to reproduce and build upon.
- Process Improvement: Contributing to the improvement of software development and support procedures by analyzing data and identifying inefficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicating technical information clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring timely updates.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- Foundational IT skills, including Windows support, basic networking, and methodical, hands-on troubleshooting abilities.
- Comfort with light scripting (e.g., PowerShell or similar) or a clear, demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly.
- Practical familiarity with Generative AI tools to assist in drafting communications or summarizing information.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, prioritize effectively based on urgency, and maintain high-quality results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first, professional attitude.
- Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying accountable to team goals.
