About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the healthcare technology industry, is looking for a skilled Sr. Application Developer  to join their team for a 6-month contract engagement. This project involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining robust applications to meet critical business needs. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional with strong backend development expertise who can hit the ground running, partner with end-users, and deliver reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of application development and maintenance deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • System Design & Development: Design, code, test, and debug programs based on technical configurations, ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Requirement Definition: Coordinate with project team members to define application requirements, identify business needs, and present innovative technical solutions.
  • Integration & Documentation: Ensure new designs integrate seamlessly with related systems and document program designs and coding details to guide future maintenance.
  • Operational Support: Support, update, and maintain existing systems in response to business needs or system problems.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with end-users and project teams to provide high-level customer service, troubleshoot issues, and support the deployment of new applications.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Core Expertise: Strong knowledge of PHP and relational databases (SQL).
  • Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience with AWS and familiarity with cloud architecture.
  • Development Methodology: Strong understanding of procedural and object-oriented design, with familiarity in software development lifecycles and methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to assess available technologies and translate complex business needs into efficient code.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have:  Experience working with AI tools (such as Claude AI).
