Pay Range:  $50-70/hr
Target Start Date:  ASAP
Location:  Remote

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in SaaS Technology, is looking for a skilled Sr. Business Systems Analyst, IT Platforms & Operations  to join their team for a Contract-to-Hire engagement. This project involves acting as a strategic liaison between IT Engineering, IT Operations, and Security & Compliance to shape how internal platforms, systems, and processes scale across the organization. This role goes beyond traditional analysis, requiring a balance of business process expertise and technical fluency. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborate with IT Engineering, IT Operations, and Security & Compliance teams to understand and refine business processes, translating needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and ensure business needs are well-defined, documented, and prioritized.
  • Partner with IT Engineering teams to define and document requirements for internal platforms, infrastructure improvements, and automation initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineering teams on identity and access management (IAM) systems, including Okta and enterprise application integrations.
  • Support initiatives related to observability, monitoring, and alerting systems, ensuring operational and business requirements are captured.
  • Translate business needs into requirements for API integrations, system interoperability, and internal tooling.
  • Bridge IT Operations and IT Engineering by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and scale operational workflows through engineering solutions.
  • Proactively identify process gaps and recommend improvements to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of business systems, ensuring alignment between business goals and IT solutions, and supporting compliance and audit initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, system diagrams, and requirements artifacts.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in an IT, SaaS, or Security & Compliance environment.
  • Strong expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and system documentation.
  • Experience working with engineering-driven teams (platform, infrastructure, or DevOps). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements for non-technical stakeholders, and participate in technical discussions with engineers while maintaining a business-focused perspective.
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and data flows across enterprise systems.
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and delivering scalable business solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bonus points for experience with:
    • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Elasticsearch or similar platforms).
    • Automation frameworks, scripting workflows, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
    • Identity and access management (IAM) and SSO solutions (Okta preferred).
    • Agile methodologies and modern product delivery practices.
